Introducing Widgets

One of our goals for Odyssey is to be the simplest way to leverage AI workflows locally while, beneath, we offer a ton of customization and complexity. You can both build complex workflows with a wide range of generative AI models, machine learning models, and image and text processing functions but you can also just use an existing workflow, add some text or an image, and click run.

So how do we build an app that is powerful enough for people to create a remarkable workflow but easy enough for an everyday creator to run a workflow without any knowledge about AI?

Enter Widgets. Widgets are truly the easiest way to run AI workflows and allow you to host miniature apps directly on your desktop.

Widgets can be LLMs…

or any workflow you can think of.

or any workflow you can think of.

You can simply select one of your custom workflows, build a widget, position it on your desktop, and you have a supercharged MacOS with AI running locally. Or, if you prefer, ChatGPT immediately accessible without the need to open a browser window or a fully-fledged app.

You can even access Widgets from the Odyssey icon in your Mac's toolbar.

Almost every Odyssey workflow can be able to be made into a widget - which means that as Odyssey grows, the amount of power you can add to your operating system will expand exponentially.

Widgets should be so simple to use that you don’t really need a guide. But the power of Odyssey comes from being able to build incredible workflows (and widgets) yourself.
